As part of our ongoing commitment to learning and development, Jordan recently completed the Level 4 Cyber Security Engineer course. This 18-month program provides a comprehensive introduction to cybersecurity, focusing on external threats, preventative security measures, and the legal and regulatory frameworks that underpin modern cyber protection. Jordan completed the program with Merit, a fantastic achievement.
We caught up with him to learn more about what motivated his decision, what he took away from the course, and how the training is already making a difference in his work.
To learn about the world of Cybersecurity and to have the skills to protect people and businesses from cyber threats.
I learnt about how phishing emails are created and sent, and ways to detect phishing emails that are extremely close to legitimate emails.
It allows me to investigate cyber-threats more effectively and put in place additional protections/recommendations for businesses.
The ability to address more security concerns, put users’ minds at ease and suggest stronger protections.
It’s essential. Tech is constantly evolving, new tools, new threats, and new ways of working pop up all the time. Keeping your knowledge up to date isn’t optional; it’s part of being able to do the job well.
Try to link your training into your work wherever possible, as the skills you’re training to have will become part of your day-to-day and become natural.
Can you see yourself driving meaningful change and achieving big things, just like Jordan?
